Biography

Karen Page Winterich is the Gerald Susman Professor of Marketing at the Smeal College of Business. Her research focuses on consumer behavior, particularly how social identities influence charitable giving and sustainable (im)morality. She has published in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, and Journal of Marketing. Winterich serves as the Co-Editor for the Journal of Marketing Research and has held the office of Past President of the Academic Council of the American Marketing Association. In addition to her research, she is passionate about teaching sustainability marketing and has played a key role in developing Smeal's Sustainability Education Initiatives. Her expertise encompasses identity, sustainability, prosocial behavior, unethical behavior, cultural differences, and emotions.
