Karim Sherif Mostafa Hassan Ibrahim holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering from Tunku Abdul Rahman University. He completed his Bachelor of Civil Engineering with First-Class Honours at National Energy University, Malaysia. He has served as a teaching assistant and contributed to teaching foundation geotechnical engineering subjects. Before joining Monash University, Dr. Karim gained extensive experience in civil geotechnical engineering as a civil geotechnical engineer at HACENT Consultant Sdn Bhd and Minconsult. He designed and supervised foundation geotechnical works for major projects and collaborated on deep excavation and pipe jacking projects. He is a registered member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia and has received an Individual Award for his contributions as a Student Representative Council member at UNITEN. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Optimisation Algorithms, Geotechnical Engineering, and Hydrology.
