Professor Dr. Karin Bergman

Biography

Karin Bergman is a Senior Lecturer at Lund University, specializing in innovation economics. Her research focuses on productivity effects at the firm and industry level, employing both quantitative and qualitative methods. She investigates differences in R&D based on organizational factors and conducts policy-oriented studies examining innovation support in rural areas through interview-based research. Bergman has also developed and taught an introductory course in macroeconomics, contributing to the curriculum with video lectures to complement traditional teaching methods. Moreover, she has experience in teaching microeconomics and international economics at the introductory level and supervising bachelor theses. Her expertise aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in fostering economic growth and sustainable development through her work and research in economics.
