Dr. Karin Ingold

Biography

Karin Ingold has been a professor at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Bern since August 2011. She is also the president of the Oeschger Centre for Climate Change Research, leading the research group on Policy Analysis Environmental Governance (PEGO). Her work is affiliated with both the Institute of Political Science at the University of Bern and the Department of Environmental Social Sciences at EAWAG. Karin is an Associate Editor for the Continental European Journal of Policy & Politics and is involved in various editorial boards, including the Policy Studies Journal and the Swiss Political Science Review. Her research focuses on policy processes, instruments, and their analysis, making notable contributions to the fields of climate policy, natural resource management, and environmental governance. Her methodological expertise includes social network analysis and the Advocacy Coalition Framework. Karin has recently engaged in projects concerning policy instruments for biodiversity and the implications of climate change on governance.
