Biography

Karin Tonderski is a Professor Emerita at Linköping University, specializing in the recycling of nutrients and circular fertilizers as well as biogas solutions. With in-depth knowledge in managing wetlands and controlling eutrophication, she focuses on the collaboration between various actors to address environmental challenges. Tonderski has extensive teaching experience in undergraduate education, covering natural science topics relevant to a variety of environmental problems and methods for moving toward a sustainable society. Additionally, she supervises Bachelor theses for the Energy Environmental Engineering program and guides Master's projects in the field of environmental engineering and sustainable development with a preference for a systems perspective. Tonderski also contributes to the PhD education at the Biogas Solutions Research Center, where she runs a course aimed at creating a broad understanding of the biochemical processes involved in biogas solutions and their societal effects. Her lectures are part of an open series for those interested in biogas solutions.
