Biography

Karina Vernon is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC). Her research focuses on African Canadian Literature, Canadian Literature, and Critical Race Studies, exploring themes of Diasporic, Postcolonial, and Transnational Literature. She emphasizes the importance of Black-Indigenous relationality in her work and actively engages with archives to uncover and disseminate underrepresented voices within literature.
