Karl Warner is a Senior Lecturer in Strategy at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow. His research and teaching focus on the intersection of strategy, entrepreneurship, and international business. Currently, he is investigating how private and public sector organizations are pursuing large-scale digital transformations in response to economic, social, and technological changes. Using qualitative methods, he studies senior leadership teams in their efforts to build innovation capabilities within fast-changing environments. In September 2023, Karl became the Principal Investigator for the InterAct project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), which aims to create strategies to attract young talent to digital manufacturing careers by 2040. He has co-authored a university textbook titled 'Strategic Management: 10th edition' and teaches strategic management at both higher education levels and senior executive programs. Karl is a three-time graduate of the University of Glasgow, having earned a MA (Hons Class), MSc (Distinction), and PhD in Management. Before returning to the University of Glasgow in 2019, he held positions at the University of Queensland, University of Strathclyde, and Edinburgh Napier University.
