Biography

Karl Zabjek is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and an Affiliate Scientist at the KITE Research Institute at UHN. He has developed knowledge in human movement science in the context of the undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology program at the University of Waterloo. He further enhanced his understanding of human movement science to inform the development of technology and analytical techniques for assessing the structure and function of the body in clinical populations. Dr. Zabjek completed his Master of Science in Clinical Science at the University of Sherbrooke and obtained his PhD in Biomedical Science from the University of Montreal, followed by a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Toronto. His technical expertise lies in the areas of structural imaging, three-dimensional motion capture, and mobile technology combined with clinical informatics analytics.
