Biography

Dr. Karleen Meiklejohn is a board-certified anatomic clinical pathologist with fellowship training in head and neck pathology, endocrine pathology, and cytopathology. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of British Columbia - Okanagan in 2012, and her Doctor of Medicine at St. Matthew's University School of Medicine in 2016. Dr. Meiklejohn underwent her residency in Anatomic Clinical Pathology at Banner University Medical Center (University of Arizona) from 2017 to 2021. Following her residency, she pursued fellowships at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Head and Neck Endocrine Pathology and at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Cytopathology. Dr. Meiklejohn's clinical interests include the diagnosis and management of endocrine and head and neck cancers, with a focused research interest in improving early diagnosis methods to enhance patient outcomes. She is current Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UC Davis Health, where she also serves as Associate Residency Program Director.
