Biography

Karolina Brook, MD, FASA, CPPS, obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry summa cum laude from Princeton University and her MD from Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency in Anesthesiology and a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor at Boston University's Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and works as an Anesthesiologist at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Brook is also a Vice Chair of the American Society of Anesthesiologists' Committee on Patient Safety Education, contributing to the development of statements on safety culture and the criminalization of medical errors. She is an advocate for resident physician financial education and comes from a diverse background, which she incorporates into her mentorship of medical students. Her commitment to improving hospital-wide compliance with safety standards continues to shape her clinical and academic endeavors.
