Biography

Karolina Dziemidowicz is a Lecturer in Pharmaceutics at University College London, where she also completed her PhD focusing on antibody-functionalized biomaterials for cancer immunotherapy. She began her academic journey with an MPharm degree from King's College London in 2015, during which she completed her undergraduate dissertation at Utrecht University’s Pharmaceutics Department. Following her degree, she undertook her pharmacist foundation training at AstraZeneca and Manchester University Hospital. Dr. Dziemidowicz continued her research career with a postdoctoral position at the Centre for Nerve Engineering, working on preclinical testing of drug-eluting biomaterials for peripheral nerve injuries. In 2021, she received the EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship to research neuroprotective biomaterials for dura regeneration and spinal cord injury. By 2022, she established her own research group at UCL, focusing on innovative materials for therapeutic applications.
