Dr. Karthik Duraisamy

Biography

Professor Duraisamy’s research encompasses a broad spectrum of Computational Science and Engineering, focusing on new modeling approaches for complex physical systems, numerical methods, and algorithms aimed at uncertainty quantification. His overarching research theme involves the use of computational methods to address both scientific and engineering questions, emphasizing the desired level of sophistication in understanding the effects of modeling uncertainties on predicted results. He has held various positions at the University of Michigan, including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and currently the Arthur B. Modine Professor and Director of the Michigan Institute for Computational Discovery and Engineering.
