Biography

Karthik Shankar is a Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Alberta, specializing in Biomedical Engineering, Microsystems, and Nanodevices. He actively collaborates with international institutions, reflecting a strong emphasis on research collaborations, student internships, and joint publications. His work has significantly contributed to the fields of semiconductor heterostructures, inkjet printing of materials, and the development of novel carbon nitrides for application in photocatalysis. He has received various accolades, including the PetroCanada Young Innovator Award.
