Biography

Kartik Nayak is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Duke University. His research primarily focuses on reliable broadcast applications in distributed systems, with an emphasis on signature-free protocols. He has contributed significantly to the field with recent publications exploring threshold decryption systems and their applications, introducing innovative concepts in decryption contexts. Nayak has been awarded multiple principal investigator grants, including notable funding from the National Science Foundation and the Ethereum Foundation for projects aimed at developing private, write-oriented relational database management systems. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2018 and has since engaged in numerous collaborative research efforts.
