Kasey Claborn is a research scientist and licensed clinical psychologist serving as an Associate Professor at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin. His work on the TxCOPE digital platform has been recognized internationally, receiving awards for its innovation in improving data collection for real-time community response during overdose crises. TxCOPE is expected to be commercially available in 2024. Dr. Claborn also advises on health information and technology infrastructure improvements for mental health and substance use treatment and has served as a subject matter expert in various opioid litigation cases.
