Biography

Kasia Solon Cristobal is a Reference Librarian at the Tarlton Law Library, a position she has held since 2009. She previously served as a Rare Books Reference Librarian at the Jacob Burns Law Library, George Washington University Law School. Kasia earned her Bachelor's degree in History from Rice University, her Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law, and her Master's degree from the University of Michigan School of Information. She is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries and has chaired the Legal History Rare Books Special Interest Section. Notably, she received the Watson Fellowship, which allowed her to travel for a year studying Vikings and Icelandic sagas. In addition to her library role, Kasia teaches courses on Legal Research, including Advanced Legal Research, at Texas Law. Her expertise is focused on Legal Research, and she has contributed to the field through articles and her work with legal historical collections.
