Biography

Kasia Warburton's research focuses on fluid dynamics in relation to ice sheets, particularly examining the flow of water and sediments at the base of ice. She employs simple fluid-based models to explain field experimental observations and to constrain the sliding speed of glaciers. Her work also delves into channel formation in Arctic permafrost and involves investigating the behavior of granular materials in ice environments. Kasia is engaged in teaching various mathematics courses including Part III Non-Newtonian Fluid Mechanics and supervising Differential Equations, Fluids IB, Dynamical Systems, Vectors Matrices, and Mathematical Biology. She is also involved in supervisions for QES in the Natural Sciences Tripos at the University of Cambridge.
