Dr. Katarina Blomkvist

Biography

Katarina Blomkvist is an Associate Professor at Uppsala University's Department of Business Studies, specializing in entrepreneurship and international business. She earned her Ph.D. in October 2009, focusing on international entrepreneurship at Uppsala University. Her research mainly involves corporate entrepreneurship and the innovation development of established corporations. Currently, she is engaged in projects analyzing the underlying drivers of intrapreneurship and the significance of individual intrapreneurs in firm growth. Additionally, she is investigating the development and transfer of technology within established firms, with a special emphasis on the evolution of subsidiaries' technological capabilities as drivers of innovation. Blomkvist has published in top-ranked journals such as the Journal of International Business Studies, Management International Review, Long Range Planning, and Research Policy. She is a member of the European International Business Association, the Academy of International Business, and the Academy of Management, and has served as a visiting scholar at Rutgers University and worked with the European Parliament's Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee.
