Katarzyna Borkowska joined the School of Education at the University of Glasgow as a Lecturer in Education in October 2023, after transferring from the School of Social and Environmental Sustainability where she worked since January 2017. She is currently involved in research on domestic violence in informal settlements in Rwanda, collaborating with the University of Rwanda and the Rwanda Women’s Network. Additionally, she leads various projects aimed at empowerment through education, focusing on gender bias reduction in Sub-Saharan Africa. Katarzyna has a strong commitment to student-centered teaching, encouraging critical thinking among her students and fostering greater social equality through education.
