Biography

Kate Bennett is a Research Coordinator at Umeå University, where she also serves as the Platform Manager for the Computational Analytics Support Platform (CASP). She completed her PhD in biochemistry and mass spectrometry at University College London, focusing on the development of proteomic methods to investigate rare and common skin disorders. Her career has included working as a Research Associate in Clinical Molecular Genetics at UCL, studying unique cases of diabetes in children. Her expertise includes multivariate data analysis and biological interpretation of omics data, with a particular focus on rare genetic disorders and age-related diseases. She manages and executes EU projects and is a steering board member of Coalition Umeå Life Science (CU4LS), fostering collaboration among researchers in life sciences.
