Biography

Kate M. Guthrie is a Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is a senior research scientist at the Miriam Hospital's Center for Behavioral and Preventive Medicine and the founder and director of the Qualitative Science & Methods Training Program (QSMTP). She has worked extensively on various projects, including studies addressing women's sexual and reproductive health and behavioral interventions targeting sexual and reproductive health outcomes. Dr. Guthrie has also contributed to the development of psychometrically validated measures to improve user-centered product development, which aids in increasing treatment acceptability and adherence. Her work spans multiple disciplines within behavioral health and has garnered funding through various NIAID and NIH grants, among others.
