Biography

Kate Jones, Professor of Ecology and Biodiversity, engages in interdisciplinary research exploring the interface between ecological systems and human health. A prominent figure in her field, Kate chaired the Bat Conservation Trust for five years and has worked as an expert advisor to the UK’s Climate Change Committee. Her contributions to Zoology have been recognized with the Leverhulme Prize in 2008 and the British Ecology Society’s Marsh Award for Ecology in 2022.
