Biography

Kate Larson is a professor at the Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. She is affiliated with the AI group and currently holds the University Research Chair and Pasupalak AI Fellowship. Her research interests focus on artificial intelligence, particularly in multiagent systems, game theory, mechanism design, social choice, negotiation, cooperation, preference modeling, and normative models. Larson completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University and holds an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
