Biography

Kate Lippiett has worked in the NHS since 1999, initially in general management before completing the NHS management training scheme in 2003. She earned an MSc in Health Management from the University of Birmingham in 2005 and subsequently retrained as a nurse, specializing in respiratory nursing. Currently, Kate serves as the Chair of the Research Education Committee for the Association of Respiratory Nurse Specialists. In 2020, she completed her full-time PhD, where she focused on identifying and characterizing patient experiences and the treatment burden associated with lung cancer and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Her primary research interests include the treatment burden of multiple long-term conditions and improving patient care in respiratory health.
