Biography

Kate Saenko is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Boston University, where she directs the Computer Vision Learning Group. She has a research focus on the broad area of Artificial Intelligence, particularly in Adaptive Machine Learning, Vision Language Understanding, and Deep Learning. Saenko received her PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Her previous roles include Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, as well as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the International Computer Science Institute. She has also been a Visiting Scholar and Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University in the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
