Biography

Kate Savoie, MD, MS, is an Assistant Professor at Yale School of Medicine specializing in surgery, particularly in trauma, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care. She completed her MD at Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2011 and has since pursued further training through a Master's degree in Epidemiology from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and a fellowship at Ohio State University/Nationwide Children's Hospital. She is passionate about the unpredictable challenges of trauma surgery, as it often involves meeting patients in crucial moments of their lives. Her expertise also extends to managing post-operative care for trauma patients in the intensive care unit.
