Biography

Kateryna Metersky is an Assistant Professor and the Interim Associate Director of the Collaborative Nursing Degree Program at the Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing, Toronto Metropolitan University. She completed her PhD in Nursing at the University of Western Ontario in 2020. Her research focuses on international collaborations and partnerships, addressing social and health challenges among vulnerable populations, and advancing nursing interprofessional practice education. Her expertise includes qualitative research methods, systematic scoping reviews, and concept analysis. Dr. Metersky maintains her nursing practice in general internal medicine at Toronto Western Hospital and co-leads the Inclusive Communities for Older Immigrants project. She is actively involved in editorial roles for several peer-reviewed journals and serves on various university committees, including the research ethics board and the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario’s guidelines for Person-Family-Centred Care. Dr. Metersky is also a board member of the Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative and was trained in global advocacy by the University of British Columbia.
