Biography

Katherine Davis is a proud Red River Métis woman and member of the Métis Nation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global Political Economy and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business. Serving as the Director of Indigenous Business Relations and an Instructor, Katherine teaches Indigenous Peoples & Canadian Business, which is a key requirement in the school’s Indigenous course offerings. In her role, she leads strategic partnerships with MOU partners and chairs the Committee for Indigenous Business Scholarship, which is dedicated to advancing the Indigenization of the curriculum and the Calls to Action in business education. Katherine’s professional background spans various roles including international education, career counseling, leadership coaching, and Indigenous student advising. She has been actively involved with the Indigenous Leadership Community Committee and served as a board director for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Manitoba. Deeply connected to her Métis roots, Katherine emphasizes education, equity, and reconciliation, aspiring to create meaningful learning opportunities for Indigenous students and communities. Born and raised in Winnipeg, she has fond memories of her summers with family in Flin Flon and Birch River, MB, where she was immersed in traditional Indigenous spiritual practices and cultural traditions.
