Katherine Desforges completed her bachelor's degree in pharmacy at the University of Montreal in 2009 and earned her Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Practice (Health Institution option) in 2010. Until recently, she worked as a pharmacist at Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont of the CIUSSS de l'Est-de-l'Île-de-Montréal, where she provided pharmaceutical care to hospitalized patients in the short-term geriatric unit and to patients undergoing hemodialysis. Since 2015, she has been a member of the Regroupement de pharmaciens experts (RPE) in geriatrics of the Association des pharmaciens des établissements de santé (APES) of Quebec and has served as its secretary since 2021. In 2019, she obtained the title of Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP).
