Biography

Katherine Remick, M.D., leads quality, innovation, and outreach strategy as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin. She co-directs the National EMS Children Innovation Improvement Center and serves as the medical director for the San Marcos/Hays County EMS System. Dr. Remick is a core member of the Prehospital Pediatric Readiness Steering Committee and is recognized for her leadership in developing strategic plans for coordinating national efforts focused on pediatric readiness in emergency care systems. Her research emphasizes quality improvement science, evidenced by her leadership in various large-scale national collaboratives. Additionally, she serves as the medical director for the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians’ Emergency Pediatric Care course and is an active member of the governor’s EMS Trauma Advisory Council Medical Director’s Committee. Dr. Remick is triple board-certified in pediatrics, pediatric emergency medicine, and emergency medical services, with a commitment to enhancing system-level readiness and delivering high-quality emergency care for children.
