Biography

Katherine is a clinical optometrist and education-focused lecturer at the School of Optometry and Vision Science. She graduated with a Bachelor of Optometry (Honors) and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney) in 2012. After graduating, she worked in full-scope private practice in Sydney and as a locum optometrist in rural Northern Territory. Additionally, she served as a Resident Optometrist at UNSW Optometry Clinic and previously held the role of Senior Research Optometrist at the Eye Research Group, where she was involved in coordinating and conducting industry-sponsored clinical trials. Katherine completed her Master of Optometry at UNSW Sydney in 2018 and has special interests in dry eye, anterior eye health, and color vision perception. Currently, she is a clinical supervisor for primary care, color vision, and dry eye clinics at the UNSW Optometry Clinic.
