Katherine Wright is a designer, educator, and researcher working at the intersection of architecture and interiors. Her work explores design advocacy that centers on agency, materials, and the role of design in shaping equitable, inclusive, and resilient environments. Her teaching and research focus on material culture, digital design methodologies, interdisciplinary collaboration, and community-engaged design-build practice. She has previously co-developed the Design Develop Build Program in South Africa, held visiting positions at Auburn University, Kennesaw State University, and Georgia State University, and actively contributes to academic governance at her institution. Her scholarship has been published in various journals and proceedings, and her recent research includes local collaborations with Pride School Atlanta and Mudfire Studio Art Gallery, as well as international partnerships focused on post-conflict recovery in Ukraine. Wright is also a founding member of the Druid Hills Fine Arts Alliance, supporting performance and visual arts programs.
