Biography

Kathleen Balestracci is an Associate Research Scientist at Yale University School of Medicine and serves as the Associate Director of Quality Measurement at the Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE). She has been a research faculty member at the Yale School of Medicine since 2002, with prior positions at the School of Public Health from 2002 to 2005 and the Child Study Center from 2005 to 2016. Her work focuses on the development and assessment of quality measures in healthcare delivery, especially in relation to patient-reported outcome measures and electronic clinical quality measures. Kathleen has extensive experience overseeing statewide evaluations of intensive in-home child and adolescent psychiatric services in Connecticut. She earned her PhD in Epidemiology and Health Policy from Yale University and holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Connecticut, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Haverford College.
