Kathleen Martin graduated from Hiram College with a major in Biology and later earned her PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from Case Western Reserve University. Currently, she is the Co-Director of the Yale Cardiovascular Research Center. Her research focuses on defining cellular signaling and epigenetic mechanisms that regulate vascular smooth muscle cell function, particularly in relation to intimal hyperplasia and atherosclerosis, aiming to provide insights into the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease.
