Biography

Kathryn Adamiak Davis, M.D., M.S.T.R., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. She serves as the Associate Director of the Center for Neuroengineering Therapeutics and is the Division Chief of Epilepsy at the same institution. Her research expertise lies in clinical epilepsy and biomedical research, aiming to utilize advancing fields such as invasive neurophysiology and neuroimaging to localize epileptic networks in patients with medication-refractory epilepsy. This research is critical for improving the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, including seizure control devices and resective surgery. In terms of clinical expertise, Dr. Davis specializes in the presurgical evaluation of epilepsy patients and has significant experience in electroencephalography (EEG) and epilepsy neuroimaging. Dr. Davis received her BSc in Neuroscience from Brown University in 1999, followed by her MD from Yale University School of Medicine in 2004, and an MSTR from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011. She also completed her post-graduate training in Internal Medicine and Neurology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, along with a fellowship in Epilepsy.
