Biography

Kathryn Leskis is a licensed clinical psychologist and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She also serves as the clinical director of the Illinois NeuroBehavioral Assessment Laboratory (INBAL). Leskis provides lectures on psychological testing to medical students during their fourth year psychiatry clerkship. She obtained her bachelor's degree in psychology in 1998 and her doctorate in clinical-community psychology with a minor in family law policy in 2005 from the University of Illinois. Leskis completed a pre-doctoral internship and a post-doctoral fellowship at Yale University's School of Medicine, focusing on child psychology. After graduating, she worked as a consulting psychologist for the Bureau of Behavioral Health Medicine, Department of Children and Families in Connecticut, and served as adjunct faculty at Quinnipiac University. She returned to Champaign after several years and has been a clinical psychologist at Carle Health System for 11 years, with a specialization in diagnostic clarification and psychological testing.
