Biography

Kathryn Quaglia serves as the Curricular Director of Externships at Penn Carey Law, where she designs and teaches externship seminars including Criminal Law Externship Seminar, Civil Law Externship Seminar, and Judicial Seminar. She has substantial experience in legal education, having previously worked as the Director of Externships and Assistant Professor of Legal Practice at Seton Hall Law School from 2003 to 2023. During her time at Seton Hall, Quaglia designed the curriculum, taught various externship courses, and supervised hundreds of students enrolled in the externship program each year. She has taught courses in the Center for Health & Pharmaceutical Law program and has experience in multiple areas of law including Torts, Constitutional Law, Business Law, Legal Writing, and Compliance Issues in Life Sciences. Quaglia practiced law at K&L Gates from 2001 to 2005 and graduated cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2000, after earning a B.S. from Rutgers University in 1996. She also served as a legal intern at Epstein Becker & Green in Washington, D.C., and completed a judicial clerkship with Justice Virginia Long of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
