Dr. Kathryn Suh

Biography

Kathryn Suh is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and an attending physician in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Ottawa Hospital - Civic Campus. She is also the Associate Director of the Infection Prevention Control Program at the Ottawa Hospital. Suh holds an MD and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) and has a Master of Science (MSc). Her research interests primarily focus on Healthcare Epidemiology, Healthcare Associated Infections, and Antimicrobial Resistance. With a commitment to fighting infection and improving patient outcomes, she contributes to academic research that informs clinical practices and policies in healthcare settings, while also providing mentorship to students and trainees in her field. Suh is actively involved in various initiatives aimed at enhancing infection control measures and promoting effective antimicrobial stewardship. Through her work, she strives to advance the understanding of infectious diseases and improve public health.
