Biography

Kathryn Taylor’s research integrates concepts of healthcare quality and equity to improve outcomes for people living with end-stage kidney disease. She is a PhD graduate from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Previously, she served as the corporate vice president of quality at Fresenius Kidney Care, a large dialysis organization with 2,500 outpatient facilities across North America. In this role, she led the development of the organization’s quality management infrastructure, which was based on research conducted at the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality, where she served as a senior program manager. Additionally, Kathryn Taylor has maintained a clinical practice throughout her career, working as a community health nurse at a transitional housing shelter in Baltimore City. She is a longtime resident of the area.
