Biography

Kathy Clark is an Adjunct Associate Research Scientist and Lecturer in Movement Science at the University of Michigan's School of Kinesiology. She obtained her Ph.D. in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan in 1990, after previously earning her M.S. in 1982 and B.A. in 1980 from the College of Wooster. Dr. Clark has a notable background in spacecraft operations, having served as Chief Scientist at NASA's Human Exploration and Development of Space Enterprise as well as being involved with the International Space Station. Her extensive volunteer work includes participation in educational initiatives with the Jean-Michel Cousteau Society and the National Marine Sanctuaries. Dr. Clark is actively engaged in promoting science education and has spoken professionally to inspire youth aspirations.
