Biography

Katie Bell is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Systems and Population Health. She formerly served as the Chief Operating Officer for Neighborcare Health, the largest provider of primary medical and dental care for low-income and uninsured families and individuals in Seattle. Prior to joining Neighborcare in 2005, she spent five years as Vice President of Operations at Park Nicollet Health Services in Minnesota. In addition, she has been part of administrative teams in various health systems, including Heartland Health System in Missouri and Staten Island University Hospital in New York. In 2012, Bell was elected to the board of trustees for Group Health, a nonprofit health care system serving Washington and Idaho. She earned both her Master of Health Administration and Master of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 1992, having previously obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Washington & Jefferson College in 1987.
