Biography

Katie M. Clow is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Population Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph. Her research focuses on the ecology and epidemiology of vector-borne zoonotic diseases, examining the interaction between vectors and domestic animal health in the context of climate change. Dr. Clow holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ontario Veterinary College obtained in 2011 and completed her PhD in Pathobiology in 2017. She has experience working in both private small animal practice and at a national and international level through various health internships, including roles with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the World Health Organization. Dr. Clow collaborates regularly with public health professionals and veterinarians, and her lab is currently recruiting graduate students. In addition to her research, she teaches courses related to health approaches and health management at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
