Biography

Originally from Canada, Katie completed her PhD in Digital Communication Media Studies from the University of Wollongong in 2012, investigating fan-made remix videos within media fandom. She worked as a Senior Learning Designer at ANU Online from 2015 to 2019, where she advised and delivered professional development for academics in technology-enhanced learning. Currently, Katie serves as the Technology-Enhanced Learning Teaching Manager at the ANU Medical School, leading a team of learning designers and technologists to create online resources, manage educational technologies, and provide learning design advice to the School.
