Katie Trumpener is the Emily Sanford Professor of Comparative Literature at Yale University. She earned her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Stanford University in 1990, as well as an A.M. in English American Literature from Harvard University in 1983 and a B.A. (Honours) in English from the University of Alberta in 1982. Notably, she has also explored the history of children’s literature from the 18th century to the present, particularly the contributions of women novelists. Currently, she is researching the institutionalization of Marxist aesthetics in postwar Central Europe, alongside her extensive publication record.
