Biography

Katlin Mallette completed her Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science at the University of Manitoba and earned her medical degree from the same institution. She underwent General Surgery residency training at the University of Saskatchewan and completed fellowships in Minimally Invasive Surgery/Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at Western University and Hepatobiliary Surgery at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Mallette's clinical practice focuses on Hepatobiliary Surgery, robotic surgery, and therapeutic endoscopy, with a specific emphasis on Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Her research interests include quality improvement and patient outcomes, collaborating closely with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA). She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Mallette enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, baking, and training for half marathons.
