Biography

Katrina Perehudoff is a health scientist and legal scholar with a decade of experience in pharmaceutical policy. She is an assistant professor at the University of Amsterdam's Law Centre for Health and Life. She is affiliated with the Amsterdam Institute of Global Health & Development, the Amsterdam Centre for European Law and Governance, and the Amsterdam Centre for European Studies. Additionally, she supervises a Hestia grant project, investigating the effects of the EU’s pharmaceutical legislation in the North Africa and Middle East regions. Katrina also collaborates as a co-investigator in the END-VOC consortium to develop pandemic preparedness strategies for new Covid-19 variants, focusing on legal regulatory interventions for vaccines. With extensive practical experience in global health policy, she coordinates the Global Health and International Law course and has trained at various prestigious institutions. Her educational background includes a Master's degree in Health Sciences and a Master's in European Law, followed by a PhD from the University of Groningen.
