Dr. Katta Murty

Biography

Professor Murty taught graduate and undergraduate courses in linear, integer, and nonlinear programming as well as network flows. His recent research includes studies in mathematical programming applications and research optimization algorithms. He is the author of four books in linear and nonlinear programming, and his undergraduate text, "Operations Research-Deterministic Optimization Models," is well-regarded. His research interests focus on applications in telecommunications, transportation, and industrial operations, including distribution and logistics, inventory control, and supply-chain management. He has contributed significantly to the field with tools for operations research, mathematical modeling, and optimization aimed at optimum decision-making.
