Katy Hull is an Assistant Professor of Modern Gender History at the University of Amsterdam's Faculty of Humanities. She specializes in twentieth-century history, focusing on civil rights, social movements, women’s and gender history, masculinity, and the history of emotions. Hull was a fellow in the Global Sentimentality Project at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in the summer of 2023. Hull obtained her PhD in History from Georgetown University in 2018 and holds an MA in Human Rights and another MA in International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins University, SAIS. Previously, she worked at the World Bank in Washington, DC from 2005 to 2010.
