Biography

Kazbi's particular expertise is financial reporting. He has examined issues regarding disclosure requirements and accounting standards to understand the factors that promote greater levels of compliance. His research investigates the effectiveness of requirements for greater disclosure and how forecasts by equity analysts can affect investor behavior. Between 2002 and 2013, he was a Lecturer in Accounting at the London School of Economics, where he directed the MSc Accounting Finance Programme from 2011 to 2013. He holds a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Boston University, an MS in Statistics, an MA in Economics, and a PhD in Business from Stanford University, with a dissertation focused on financial reporting interests, particularly in joint ventures. Kazbi has presented at numerous conferences including the European Accounting Association Annual meeting and has taught various courses including the Finals Accounting elective and tutorials in general management at Oxford.
