Biography

Keely Eastley is a Lecturer in Acting Theater at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she teaches Voice and Speech in the Music Theatre Arts Department. She is a Designated Linklater Teacher, having apprenticed with Master Teacher Kristin Linklater, gaining her designation in 1987. Keely has an extensive teaching background, having served on the faculties of prominent institutions such as the Yale School of Drama, New York University, Syracuse University, Emerson College, and the Circle-in-the-Square. Her international experience includes leading voice movement training at Toi Whakaari in New Zealand and coaching voice for various productions at the Yale Repertory Theatre and New York Public Theater's Shakespeare Company. Additionally, Keely conducts workshops within the MIT community, collaborating with the Sloan School of Business and supporting Ph.D. candidates in the Linguistics and Philosophy Department. She also serves as a consultant for the Cornell Voice Advisory, working with clients like Biogen Idec and leading leadership workshops for international students associated with Harvard University. As a senior Linklater teacher, she plays a significant role in the teacher trainee designation process at the Kristin Linklater Voice Foundation.
